Enable Scotland speaker
We had a really good turnout for the June meeting, the weather always helps.
Courtney Ackerman, a Community Coordinator from Enable Scotland came and spoke to the group about Enable holding weekly social walking groups for adults with learning disabilities in Perth and Kinross.
It is free to attend, with an optional café visit, and parents/carers also welcome. The aim is to reduce social isolation, make positive community connections and get more active.
More information can be found on their website, we highly recommend you take a look.
Once you have had a look you can email them. To get involved, email communities@enable.org.uk.

What Matters to You
Next we were delighted to have Ashley Blundell, who is Policy Officer for Perth and Kinross Health and Social Care Partnership.
Ashley talked to us about the ‘What Matters to You’ movement and we were encouraged to fill in some of their latest surveys.
The “What Matters to You?” movement is a partnership with Tommy Whitelaw from Health and Social Care Alliance Scotland (Alliance) to support our ambition of fostering a culture of kindness, compassion, and civility across Perth and Kinross. Together, we believe that everyone achieves more, making this initiative something very special for the Perth and Kinross Health and Social Care Partnership (PKHSCP) and beyond into the independent sector.
The new website from Perth & Kinross Health and Social Care Partnership has Peoples Stories, Learning Videos and News of Events.

Thank You Michael
Lastly we said a big THANK YOU to Michael McGarrie who has been the Chairperson for Hear Our Roar for just over a year and is stepping down to allow for a new election to take place.
We gave him a huge Thank You card, along with chocolates.
